James E. Colleran, Jr., Esquire concentrates his practice on catastrophic injury litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice and other complex personal injury cases.  He has been awarded the prestigious "AV" rating by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, recognizing Mr. Colleran as a lawyer with preeminent legal and trial skills.

In 1987, Mr. Colleran received his AB degree in Politics from Princeton University, and earned his JD from Villanova University School of Law in 1990.

Mr. Colleran was featured as a "Super Lawyer" in the June 2005, June 2006, June 2007, and June 2008 editions of Philadelphia magazine.

Mr. Colleran is a former prosecutor, having served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney's Office from 1991 to 1995.

He has successfully tried cases throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as New Jersey and Washington, DC, and has obtained numerous million and multi-million dollar recoveries.

Some of Mr. Colleran's recent cases include an $8,000,000 settlement on behalf of a young man injured while working in a construction zone; a $6,200,000 settlement of a medical malpractice matter involving a brain-injured man; the settlement of a medical malpractice matter involving a brain-injured child for nearly $4,000,000; a $3,000,000 recovery on behalf of a brain-injured child; a $2,000,000 medical malpractice verdict on behalf of a man who suffered avascular necrosis following oral corticosteroid treatment; and a $1,800,000 medical malpractice verdict on behalf of an injured patient against his vascular surgeon.

Mr. Colleran is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
