David J. Colleran, Esquire has focused exclusively on catastrophic injury litigation throughout his entire career, with an emphasis on medical malpractice, automobile liability, premises liability, product liability and other complex personal injury cases. In more recent years, Mr. Colleran has also gained an expertise in insurance bad faith matters.
After graduating from the Villanova University School of Law in 1999, Mr. Colleran served a clerkship in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania under The Honorable John P. Fullam. He then joined The Colleran Firm in 2000 and has spent the last 15+ years aggressively representing his clients in complex medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
Mr. Colleran has developed an extraordinary record as a lead trial attorney, securing many plaintiffs’ verdicts even in some of Pennsylvania and New Jersey’s most difficult venues, including Wayne County, Lancaster County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, Berks County, Schuylkill County, Philadelphia County, Camden County, and Atlantic County. Mr. Colleran has also excelled in Federal venues, securing large verdicts and settlements in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Middle District of Pennsylvania. While many lawyers would not even consider taking cases in these historically defense-oriented communities, Mr. Colleran has thrived in them. Mr. Colleran has also successfully handled difficult and complicated appellate matters, in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Mr. Colleran is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.

From a personal standpoint, Mr. Colleran spends the majority of his time with his wife and three children. For the past nine years, he has been a volunteer coach in the Radnor-Wayne Little League and has been a division director within the league for the past three years. Mr. Colleran has also personally assembled and coached independent travel baseball teams which have actively and successfully participated in tournaments throughout the Atlantic region.
