Three-Vehicle Crash Injures Two, Kills One

Perhaps the worst call or a visit for a family to receive is from a law enforcement officer informing them that a loved has been injured or killed in a car accident. The time following an accident is not only an uncertain time, but also a harrowing emotional wait for family members as they hope that their loved one makes it through. Despite all the existing traffic laws, posted traffic signs, posted speed limits and public service announcements about impaired driving, accidents still happen.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a three-vehicle crash involving two cars and a motorcycle left one man dead and injured at least two others. The accident occurred around 8 o’clock at night on Route 322 when a Ford Mustang being driven by a 22-year-old man collided head-on into a motorcycle and crashed into a BMW.

The 35-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident and at least two others were injured. Authorities arrested the 22-year-old driver of the Mustang, charging him with homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence. One cannot imagine what the family of the motorcyclist and the injured victims of the accident are going through.

During such trying times, contacting a legal professional for an evaluation of the case and legal options may be the last thing on one’s mind. However, for any Pennsylvania resident who has been injured in a motor vehicle accident due to the negligence of another driver, contacting a Philadelphia car accident lawyer for an honest assessment of one’s specific case may help ease the anxiety surrounding the accident and offer some sense of justice.

An injured party may be entitled to compensation such as lost wages, pain and suffering, any medical expenses incurred during the treatment following the accident, any future medical treatments and more. It is important to gather the necessary information to build a strong case, such as eye-witness accounts and more against a negligent party.
